Galesburg’s Mixon Signs With Sandburg Women’s Basketball

Yvonne Mixon of Galesburg High School has signed to play next season for the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team.

A 5-foot-11 forward, Mixon averaged 8.1 points and 9.0 rebounds over two varsity seasons with the Silver Streaks. As a senior, Mixon was an All-Western Big 6 Conference honorable mention selection and won Galesburg’s Best Defensive Player award.
